Some of the Best Pizzerias in America

Pizza is dispersed very ably all over the five boroughs in New York City.

Some of the best pizzerias in America and indeed the whole world are in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

These outfits have been there for more than 80 years even though some new entrants to the trade have also mastered the art of creating tasty pizzas from them and now look like they too have been here for ages. This has been good for the market.

Nowadays you hear about the Neapolitan pizza pie which is the biggest name in New York pie industry. These are well known for their small, round individual pies that can cook to the best temperature and with very fresh ingredients. In fact, the immediate names that come to mind in the line of Neapolitan pies in this city are Williamsburg's Motorino and Keste.

Some of the best pizza parlors have been here for donkey years, but the Lombardi's beats them all. It is located North of Little Italy, and dishes out pizzas by the pie from their coal oven and here they do not cut slices. It is simply the oldest pizzeria in the whole of New York City.

Well, could be you are asking what to do if one just needs a slice of pizza to walk with. The people of New York get terribly attached to their favorite pizza joints and there is no way you can convince them otherwise, the writer included. I frequent Joe's Pizza which is located in Greenwich Village. The newest entrant to the East Village is the Artichoke Pizza which can be sampled once in a while.

Brooklyn is not short of fabulous pizza places. All the way out from Williamsburg to Fort Greene for example; many historic pizza places are spread everywhere.

At Brooklyn my best pizza is Di Fara Pizzeria which is in Midwood; even though it is quite a distance to reach there but the journey is always worth it. They make incredible pizza with thin crust.
