Seton Hall Pirates Tickets

Seton Hall Pirates for the 2008-2009 season include junior guard Keon Lawrence from Newark New Jersey, junior guard Pete Peregrin from South Plainfield New Jersey, freshman Jordan Theodore from Englewood New Jersey, sophomore forward/center Mike Davis from Brooklyn New York, sophomore forward Herb Pope from Aliquippa Pennsylvania, junior guard Eugene Harvey from Brooklyn New York, sophomore guard Jeremy Hazell from Harlem New York, senior guard Paul Gause from Pittsgrove New Jersey, junior forward Robert Mitchell from Brooklyn New York, freshman forward Matt Cajuste from Old Westbury New York, sophomore guard Darnell Gatling from Brooklyn New York, senior forward/center John Garcia from Brentwood New York, sophomore forward Brandon Walters from Brooklyn New York, freshman center Melvyn Oliver from Long Beach California, junior forward Jason Simmons from Cliffwood New Jersey and sophomore forward Jeff Robinson from Trenton New Jersey.

Coaches and staff who train, monitor, assist and inspire the Pirates include head coach Bobby Gonzalez, assistant coach Dermon Player, assistant coach Kevin Murphy, assistant coach Scott Adubato, administrative assistant Rodrick Rhodes and director of basketball operations Dennis Kazimir.

Gonzalez brings a wealth of experience and competitiveness to the court for the team. With assistant coach experience that dates back to 1986, where he served Broome Community College, Gonzalez is no stranger to fighting for the top. His head coaching experience dates back to 1999 where he coached at Manhattan. From 1999 to 2006, Gonzalez received such accolades as the MAAC Coach of the year for his work. In addition, he successfully coached Manhattan to receive the awards for MAAC Regular Season Champions, MAAC Tournament Champions and to gain MAAC Second Round and NIT Second Round.

In 2006, Gonzalez joined Seton Hall and since then has run 13-16 and 17-15 in the 2006-2007 season and 2007-2008 season respective. In 2007-2008, Gonzalez also notched his 150th career win. More than just a great coach on the court, Gonzalez is also a member of the NCAA Ethics committee, serving as a radio and tv basketball analyst.

Recently Mitchell was added to the Big East Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll. Mitchell has averaged 20.0 points, 7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2 blocks. Mitchell is also among the players that are positioned to lead the men's basketball team in scoring this season. Other members of consideration include Gause, Harvey, Garcia, Hazell, Walters, Davis and Theodore.

Under the guidance of Gonzalez and with the work of Mitchell, the Pirates will their games against St. John's in Newark New Jersey on Thursday, February 5, Rutgers in Piscataway New Jersey on Sunday, February 8, DePaul in Chicago Illinois on Tuesday, February 10, Connecticut in Newark New Jersey on Saturday February 14, Marquette in Milwaukee Wisconsin on Tuesday February 17, St. John's in Queens New York on Sunday February 22, USF in Newark New Jersey on Wednesday February 25, Pittsburgh in Newark New Jersey on Saturday February 28, Louisville in Louisville Kentucky on Wednesday March 4, Cincinnati in Cincinnati Ohio on Saturday March 7 and the Big East Championship at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday March 10 through Saturday March 14.
