Jerry Seinfeld - Everything You Need to Know

Jerome Allen Jerry Seinfeld the American stand up comedian, actor and writer was born on 29th April 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. His father Kalman Seinfeld was a sign maker and mother was Betty.

He attended the Birch lane Elementary school and continued to Massapequa high school. He graduated with degree in communications and Theatre from the Queens College, City University of New York.

He had a brief stint with the New York City's "Catch the rising star" which further led to a small role in "Frankie". He was later fired from Frankie. In 1981, He appeared on "The Tonight Show" starring Johnny Carson which was very successful and he became a regular on the show and other shows like "Late Night with David Letterman". In 1989 he created the "The Seinfeld Chronicle" which was renamed to "Seinfeld". This show had become the most successful and popular sitcom on American television. In this show he played a semi fictional version of himself. After the sitcom ended, Seinfeld came back to Stand-up comedy, "I am Telling you for the last time" was a comedy special recorded on a tour.

In 2002 came "Comedian" and in 2004 "The adventures of "Seinfeld and Superman" was released. In 2007 he appeared at the 79th Academy awards to present "The Best Documentary". In 2008, on his spring tour he stopped in his hometown, New York for a one night performance - the proceeds of this went to a charity aiding Lung Cancer research.

In 2009 Seinfeld and the entire cast of "Seinfeld" appeared for a reunion in Larry David's "Curb your Enthusiasm". Seinfeld was the first guest of "The Jay Leno Show". He has co-written and co-produced a movie called "Bee-movie". He has also premiered a reality show on television called "the Marriage Ref."

Seinfeld has written a book "Seinlanguage" which was best seller, in 2002 a children's book "Halloween" was released.

He is married to Jessica Sklar and they have one daughter and two sons. It is believed that he has one of the largest Porsche collections in the world. He rented a hanger at the Santa Monica airport in Santa Monica, California for the storage of his vehicles. He is also involved in a dispute with his neighbors' over the proposed building of a multistoried garage to park the cars. He has a collection of 46 Porsches, many of which are very old, antique collectables.
